1. Citizen Public House

Citizen Public House is an award-winning high-end gastropub in Old Town Scottsdale specializing in upscale renditions of your favorite American food. 

The kitchen serves delicious meals, like the Pork Belly Pastrami, Fair Trade Short Ribs, and their famous “The Original Chopped Salad.” The bar serves local beer, fine wine, and, most notably, several barrel-aged cocktails.

2. Farm & Craft

Farm & Craft is a brunch eatery in Old Town Scottsdale that focuses on creating sustainable, healthy dishes in a community-oriented environment. They also offer a “Wellness Menu” that features gluten-free, organic, and hormone-free ingredients. 

Their morning menu features items like the Farm Scramble and Protein Pancakes, and their afternoon menu features dozens of items, from health bowls and salads to flatbread pizza and sandwiches.

3. Café Monarch

Café Monarch is an award-winning European-style fine dining establishment in Downtown Scottsdale. The establishment has developed an incredible reputation for its top-notch service, beautiful ambiance, and five-star meals, making it the perfect destination to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or exciting milestone. 

Café Monarch has a four-course dinner menu. The fourth course features an extensive selection of fish, lamb, duck, and signature cuts. Plus, the friendly staff at the restaurant are all trained sommeliers, so they can help you find the perfect wine to pair with your meal.

4. The Mission

The Mission is a chic restaurant serving upscale Latin-inspired food and craft cocktails. They have two locations—one in Old Town Scottsdale and one in Kierland Commons. 

You can start your dining experience at The Mission with tableside guacamole and a margarita before enjoying the main attraction—the tacos. The Mission serves tacos with chicken, pork, fish, steak, butternut squash, and more to suit every craving and dietary restriction.

5. FnB

FnB is so much more than another New American gastropub. This nationally acclaimed Scottsdale restaurant focuses on rich flavors, locally sourced ingredients, and seasonal menus that highlight the local Arizona farming and agricultural community. 

Chef Charlene Badman rotates FnB’s menu regularly, even monthly, to provide the freshest, most flavorful meals to guests. You’ll find plenty of seasonal vegetables, fish and meats, and unique appetizers at FnB, as well as an impressive selection of beers, ciders, spirits, and wines.

6. Diego Pops

Diego Pops is a Mexican restaurant with a modern, upbeat twist on traditional dishes. The restaurant is located in Old Town Scottsdale, and the indoor-outdoor environment and fun, playful décor provides a laid-back dining experience. 

Diego Pops serves Mexican food, like ceviche, tacos, taco bowls, burritos, and more. One of their most popular menu items, Brussel Sprout Nachos, makes a great appetizer. They also serve tons of creative drinks and cocktails, from margaritas to sangria.

7. Postino WineCafe

Postino WineCafe is a favorite among locals for a great selection of wine and bruschetta boards. Although they have more than a dozen locations across Arizona, Colorado, and Texas, they have two Scottsdale locations near Old Town Scottsdale and Kierland Commons. 

Postino is best known for its “build-your-own” bruschetta boards. You can choose up to four bruschetta options, from savory choices like Burrata, Bacon, Arugula & Tomato to sweet favorites like Brie, Apple & Fig Spread. You can pair your board with Postino’s list of excellent wines, and they also serve brunch on the weekends.

8. Sweet Dee’s Bakeshop

Looking for a great place in Scottsdale to satisfy your sweet tooth? If so, look no further than Sweet Dee’s Bakeshop—a family-owned bakery in Old Town Scottsdale. 

Sweet Dee’s Bakeshop is an exciting place to visit for both kids and adults. This family business serves coffee and tons of dessert items, like cakes, cookies, macarons, and more. The selection in their pastry case changes each day, and they often have creative “themed” weeks where they serve coffee and treats around a pop culture theme, like Disney or Harry Potter.

9. Andreoli Italian Grocer

Andreoli Italian Grocer is an Italian restaurant in Scottsdale that serves authentic Italian food, including fresh pasta, daily specials, sandwiches with fresh bread and meats, and more.  

You’ll feel like you’re in Italy while you’re at Andreoli Italian Grocer. The shelves in the restaurants are filled with Italian imports, food, and grocery items that you can enjoy during your meal, then purchase to take home with you.

10. Hash Kitchen

If you don’t want to wait until night for a memorable dining experience, head to Hash Kitchen, one of Scottsdale’s most popular brunch spots. Hash Kitchen has two locations in Scottsdale, one in North Scottsdale at Gainey Ranch, and a nearby location in the Arcadia neighborhood in Phoenix.  

Hash Kitchen has so many choices for breakfast—from the ‘Effin Huge English Muffin with brown sugar ham and a fried egg to Banana Split Brioche French Toast with caramelized bananas and salted caramel drizzle. They also have a lunch menu with burgers, sandwiches, and more. However, Hash Kitchen is most famous for its drink selection, especially the “Build Your Own Bloody Mary Bar.”
